According to a release by Stellantis, in advance of full ACEA figures, the company had the best market share of the last year, with an 18.1% overall market share and 14.1% EV share. Stellantis would be the second biggest seller of both regular vehicles and BEVs, and the top seller of commercial vehicles, with a 32% market share.
In January, Stellantis had a 17.1% overall share, with 12.9% in EVs and 29.5% in commercial vehicles. Helping the company’s EV share is the new Citroën ë-C3, which was the best-selling EV in France and Italy in February.
The figures cover the EU29 market of 29 countries for personal cars and commercial vehicles.
The company did not release individual brand figures, but the ACEA will when it provides figures for all European automakers later this month. Jeep is usually only a minor player in Europe, albeit usually bigger than Alfa Romeo and DS.

David Zatz started what was to become the world’s biggest, most comprehensive Mopar site in 1994 as he pursued a career in organizational research and change. After a chemo-induced break, during which he wrote car books covering Vipers, minivans, and Jeeps, he returned with Patrick Rall to create StellPower.com for daily news, and to set up MoTales for mo’ tales.
David Zatz has around 30 years of experience in covering Chrysler/Mopar news and history, and most recently wrote Century of Chrysler, a 100-year retrospective on the Chrysler marque.
