ProMaster EV price drops by tens of thousands, gains new body styles

Two new ProMaster EV setups are now available for 2025, with the same 110 kWh battery pack and 164-mile range as the 2024 step van. That model, selling near the apex of ProMasters, had cost nearly $90,000; it is now $72,000 including destination charges, and has a free Safety and Convenience Group, with a city-cycle range of 180 miles, a severe price drop.

For 2025 new cargo vans are available as well, with a price of $58,490 including destination. This van is available in a 12 foot and 13 foot length; both ride on the ProMaster’s largest wheelbase, 159 inches. The gasoline version of the 159-inch wheelbase cargo van starts at $50,860.

The ProMaster EV can be an extremely economical choice given that “last-mile” deliveries often yield single-digit gas mileage. Electric vans can make a full day’s deliveries or service visits easily, then charge overnight, using far less power. At around $8,000 more than the standard version, the ProMaster EV can repay its premium quite quickly for some commercial users. The savings of electric vans was enough to bring Amazon to invest billions of dollars in Rivian; Amazon appears to be switching its fleet over to electrics as quickly as it can.

Ram also still sells window vans, but they are restricted to two SLT+ models—the 12-footer 2500 at $57,185, and the 13-footer 3500 at $61,120.
