Matching 2018 and 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demons Battle Head-to-Head

If you are at all active in the modern Mopar community, you likely know that some 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon owners purchased a 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 with a matching VIN and matching paint. Knowing that those pairs exist, we knew that it was only a matter of time before we saw two of them battling head-to-head on the drag strip and below, we have the first video of such a race.

Jim Marino's 2018 and 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demons Racing

The Dodge muscle cars in the video below are owned by Jim Marino. Marino recently attended the 2025 Legion of Demons event in Texas and he took two of his cars – a 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon #216 and a 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 #216, both in Octane Red. While there, Marino spent time behind the wheel of the newer car while his 2018 was driven by either his daughter, Nicohl, or his friend, Mike Mulder. In the video below, the 2018 is driven by Mulder while Marino pilots the 2023 SRT Demon 170.

Neither of these cars are 100% stock, but the 2018 SRT Demon has some power-adding upgrades while the 2023 SRT Demon 170 only has weight reduction items.
