Dodge Launches the Charger Daytona Virtual Experience

I recently spent a week with the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T and while I had it, I took it to a few places where I could let groups of people check it out in person. Oddly, I found that a great many people don’t know what it is. Sure, most Mopar/Dodge fans know the new Charger – and many have a pretty strong opinion about it – but outside of the enthusiast community, many onlookers had no idea that it was a Dodge. Even within the community, the newness of the EV tech makes many aspects of the Dodge Charger Daytona fairly foreign, so to provide loads of easy-to-access information on the brand’s first plug-in electric vehicle, the company has launched the new Dodge Charger Daytona Virtual Experience.

You can access the Dodge Charger Daytona Virtual Experience on your mobile phone by scanning the QR code shown here. This App provides all of the information that a prospective buyer could want about the Charger Daytona R/T and Scat Pack, with YouTuber Garrett Reed walking viewers through the ins and outs of the program.

When you first open the App from the QR code, you are welcomed with the Power/Start button of the new Dodge Charger Daytona. When you click that, you are (virtually) taken to a large room with a couple new Dodge Chargers where Reed welcomes you and explains how the program works. You can scroll side to side to see the R/T and Scat Pack models, you can spin the cars to see them from different angles and you can scroll to a Deep Dive option that provides more in-depth details on the car’s design, technology and performance.

Should you click on either the Dodge Charger Daytona R/T or Scat Pack, you get a closer look at the colors, packages and interior or exterior animation – allowing the viewer to see how the car looks with the unique lighting systems on and off. I could go on and on about the App, or you can just scan the QR code above to check it out for yourself. If you hate that it is an EV, many aspects of the car shown in this App will apply to the I6-powered Six Pack models that are set to arrive later this year.

“Enthusiasts love Dodge muscle cars both for the game-changing performance and also for our brand’s legacy of offering a custom look straight from the factory,” said Matt McAlear, Dodge CEO. “Now, with the new Dodge Charger Virtual Experience, they can create their dream Dodge Charger right on their phone. Whether it’s choosing the perfect color, selecting available premium interior materials or colors, or adding tech features, the Dodge Charger Virtual Experience puts the power of customization right at their fingertips.”

Finally, as an interesting point, when you scroll all of the way to the right in the “home” screen of the App, there is a new Dodge Charger under a cover. We have to wonder if this hints to the gasoline-powered models coming later this year or the big-power electric Banshee model that we expect to meet in 2026.
