Did you want a Jeep Gladiator Sport for $27,471, which is less than the price of a Compass—or a Compass for $20,463? Joe Cooper Dodge of Shawnee is advertising both.
The Gladiator has the V6, eight-speed automatic, adaptive cruise, keyless ignition, WiFi hotspot, and other features. This particular model has the automatic transmission, skid plate, and Selec-Speed control package, which adds $2,500 to the usual price; it stickers at $42,290. The dealer discount is $14,819. Doing the math, we see that the advertised price doesn’t even include a $2,000 discount for trading in another Joe Cooper car.
The 2025 Compass Latitude 4×4 has a $30,360 sticker price, including destination, which is the basic car plus the silver metallic paint ($595). The dealer discount is $9,897, which brings the Internet price down to $20,463, but if you bought your last car from Joe Cooper, you can trade it in to bring the price down by another $2,000.
Can you actually buy the cars for this price? Not having a $21,000-per-story budget, it’s hard to test the prices, but you can check out the dealer and find out for yourself. If these prices are honest-to-goodness real deals, this dealership will be clearing out some inventory fairly quickly—it has at least three Compasses under $22,000 and at least three Gladiators under $30,000.
