I spent much of the day yesterday testing the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO in beautiful Holly, Michigan, and while I can’t share my impressions of the Hurricane-powered off-road beast, I can share information on the children’s version that was on display. That’s right – Ram worked with Segmart to produce an RHO ride-on toy for kids which can be operated by the child or controlled remotely by the parent.
As you can see in the images here, the small scale Ram 1500 RHO features all of the key exterior design cues of the full sized truck, including the package-specific bumper, grille, hood and badging, along with working LED headlights, working clearance lights in the hood scoop, working doors and wheels that are modeled after the RHO’s beadlocks. It also has “training wheels” (that are really more like drag racing wheelie bars) that are tucked under the rear end, preventing a child from flipping over backwards if they attempt to climb a steep grade.
On the inside, this tiny Ram RHO comes with a three-point safety harness, a Bluetooth sound system, an ignition key, a simulated gear shift with high and low gears and a covered switch that lets the parent pick between remote control mode and normal driving mode (where the child has control of the vehicle). This system really is great, as it allows children who are too young to drive themselves around to enjoy the truck in remote control mode. As they grow a bit, mom and dad can let them take the wheel for themselves, but the remote control can still be used to override the on-board controls, just in case.
The ride-on RHO we saw in person was black, but it is also currently offered in white, blue and pink. Regardless of the color chosen, the Segment Ram RHO has a price of $229.99, so it is very budget-friendly as ride-on toys go. Click here for a closer look at all of the ordering information.
For those wondering, the Ram HD ride-on shown in the background is not available yet, but the folks at the Ram Truck brand expect to see it come to market early in 2025.
