Official 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee updates, including 4xe

The 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee will only have the 4xe or V6 setup, according to today’s press releases. The long-promised Hurricane Six option remains for the future. However, the company did cut prices, according to the press release; the base price “fell” from $36,495 to $37,035, plus $1,795 destination. The 2024 Grand Cherokee Laredo A 4×2 price of $36,495 is from the jeep.com web site; the 2025 Laredo 4×2’s $37,035 price is from the press release, which insists that the Grand Cherokee has “enhanced affordability.” However, the web site still lists the 2025 Laredo A and Laredo at the same prices as in 2024 (the Laredo A is only available in white).

Press photos were labeled as 2025, but at least one had a second label with a 2022 date. Therefore, using the photo above, from 2023, seems justified.

Adding all wheel drive tacks on another $2,000, which keeps the Jeep under $40,000, plus the $1,795 non-negotiable delivery fee. The Laredo, other than Laredo A, comes in a variety of colors, which other than white add $595 to the price, as they did last year, according to Jeep’s web site.

While the press kit declares “ Jeep® Brand Enhances Affordability of Iconic Grand Cherokee Lineup for 2025,” it is unclear what has changed, including the prices. It appears that the price of higher trim levels, such as Summit, has dropped in their “enhanced affordability” drive. Stellantis has been quietly providing dealers with tiny and massive incentives, so that prices of some vehicles, notably the Wagoneer and Hornet, have been swinging wildly from day to day.

The 4xe lineup consists of the base 4xe, Trailhawk, Overland, and Summit, all in all wheel drive. The V6 lineup consists of the  Laredo, Limited, Overland, and Summit, in rear and all wheel drive. Each model may have submodels such as Summit Reserve and Laredo X. Colors are black, black and beige, and Tupelo.

We will update this story after we have had time to see if there have been any actual changes to anything but the prices affordability.
