If you have been hoping to check out a 2025 Ram 1500 RHO in person, whether to purchase one or simply to kick the tires, one should be showing up to your local dealerships very soon. While there are reports of some people receiving their trucks as early as a few weeks ago, dealerships posts and posts by folks who ordered the 540-horsepower off-road pickup make it clear that the number of Ram 1500 RHO pickups shipping out of the factory is picking up substantially.
If you are somehow unfamiliar with the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO, it is the newest range-topping performance truck from Stellantis’ truck brand. Like the now-discontinued Ram 1500 TRX, the RHO is designed to beat the Ford F-150 Raptor, but where the TRX featured a supercharged V8 to beat the twin turbocharged V6 in the Raptor, the RHO beats the Raptor with a twin turbocharged six-cylinder of its own. To be more specific, the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO is powered by the twin turbocharged 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six engine, delivering 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque. For comparison, the Ford F-150 Raptor offers 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque from its EcoBoost V6.
The Hurricane engine in the RHO is the same high output engine that is offered in several other Ram 1500 trim levels, but in the RHO, a unique intake and exhaust system work together to yield better performance. The peak numbers of 540 and 521 do not change, but the RHO intake and and exhaust setup increase power at other, non-peak points in the powerband.
Aside from the size and shape of the engine, the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO shares many features with the TRX. The two look practically identical, with flared fenders and bedsides, a vented hood with a front-facing scoop and massive off-road tires, with the key difference being the model logos on the sides and back. The RHO and TRX also share the Bilstein adaptive dampers, making them both the most capable trucks in the production off-road segment.
Finally, as a premium performance truck, the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO is available with all of the high end interior goodies, including the fully digital gauge cluster, a 14-inch infotainment screen, a Harmon Kardon sound system and heated/cooled leather seats.
